They say that rain on a wedding day is good luck. If we believe in luck, then Katie and Mark’s relationship is blessed because their engagement session day started with overcast skies and a persistent drizzle. The weather forecast had called for a sunny day, but three hours later when we arrived at Beaufort it was anything but sunny! Katie and Mark both laughed their way through it, we pulled out the clear umbrellas, and looked for some semi-dry and sheltered areas to take pictures of them. The wetness of everything made for some beautiful vibrant colors, and by the end of the afternoon the rain cleared, the sun came out, and we headed to the beach for some beautiful sunny images to wrap up the day. We can’t wait for their Duke Gardens wedding next spring!
