Since Chase just came home from the military this past week, we met both him and Hannah just a few days before their wedding for their engagement session! What a sweet time we had together resulting in some gorgeous images. These two are so in love, and their wedding this past Saturday was a beautiful expression of their love and commitment to each other.
Hannah sent us a sweet story of how they met .. both she and Chase were adopted from Romania. They actually met for the first time when they were little, at a reunion for parents who had adopted Romanian children (they even have a photo of themselves together from this event!) While Hannah always lived in North Carolina, Chase grew up in Indiana and California. As they grew up, they didn’t keep in touch that much, though their parents shared updates from time to time. In high school, they reconnected again through Facebook, and soon Hannah was planning a trip to California to visit Chase. They knew right away that they were meant to be together, but Chase was just about to join the military. Chase assured her that they would make it work, and so they started their long distance relationship that has taken them through several states as Chase has moved around with the Air Force. They were committed to patiently waiting till they could be together forever .. and now at last they will be! There will still be several moves for them as the military changes up where they live, but Hannah’s own words sum it up best:
“Even in an age where most people our age are obsessed with instant gratification, we have learned patience will lead us to our happiness .. and here we are, happy and in love”
