That was the music that sparkled through the evening as they twirled around the dance floor for their special dance. And it was appropriate, as dark clouds had rolled in for the evening, and rain pounded outside. But, inside the thick walls of this castle, they scarcely noticed. Between the music playing, the only noise was their hearts beating close together.
Nichole and Steve had a gorgeous wedding at Barclay Villa several weeks ago, with a lovely outdoor ceremony. Everyone was watching the weather closely all day, because severe thunderstorms were supposed to be rolling in that afternoon. The storms managed to hold off until exactly the moment when we finished portraits with two of them, and then the skies let loose with rain. I’m so glad they stuck it out with us and made use of all the available time we had for portraits, because we got some absolutely beautiful ones!
The day started off bright and sunny, and it’s always interesting to go back to places we’ve shot weddings at before and re-imagine the same venue with a different couple for new and beautiful photos …
Nichole and Steve chose to do a First Look, and we love this playful moment captured moments before Nichole started walking towards Steve.

Aren’t the bridesmaids’ dresses so fun? We love that Nichole chose a patterned dress for her girls to wear. Everyone looks stunning!
As part of their ceremony, Steve & Nichole nailed a wine box shut with a bottle of wine to enjoy on their first anniversary.
